Auxiliary Traffic Signs – Cities usually have STOP signs, reduce speed signs, and other similar signs around the streets and roads of the city. In case of extreme weather condition, emergency, or disasters the electronic signs replacing the metal plate dummy signs may prove to be more useful. For example, instead of displaying “STOP” or “Reduce Speed” or “50 KM Speed” the electronic signs can have these instructions or public safety message displayed under the command from the Police Office, Hospitals, or other important bodies in the city with a priority given to each body. This electronic message display system can have a Real Time Intelligent information exchange system that has the capability of interacting with the public demand, the weather conditions, and the Government System for purpose of providing and protecting the public safety. This idea came into my mind after reading about accidents in Brampton from the Police page. Please add or modify this idea as you see fit. Also don’t forget to leave your contact information to be contacted should we decide to build such a system. I hope all contributors to this idea get some sort of valuable compensation for their great insight.

These smart electronic displays can power up from re-chargeable batteries, day light, or the city power lines and they consume very little power. Messages can be changed on the fly from the command office. They also can be linked to a Bluetooth for intercommunication between the display and nearby people, drivers, or smart phones.

Here is a very easy way to collect the dog in humane way, with a bottomless elevated cage and a piece of meat on ground attached to the release button, once the dog eats or snatches the food the cage falls down and surrounds it without causing any injury to the dog. The officer will be notified with a wireless device about the location of the collected dog. To get a bit techie use ultra low power battery operated GSM modem to locate the cage in subject. I hope these animals will be treated in a very human and nice way because they are citizens of the earth, like us we human. We have no right to kill them.

If real then this could be the resonance of air pressure, electromagnetic energy, or ether pressure energy radiating from space and earth. One solution is a noise cancellation electronic devices installation can be designed to capture the external noises, amplify them to an adjustable level, reverse their magnitude, and feed to the walls via transducers so to cancel their acoustic nagging effect to the internal house environment. This is doable by a design electrical engineers like myself.

Did you know that human behaviour, and even human physical motion, can be described by mathematical and differential equations along with Fractorial behaviours? I have made initial study in this subject and results were amazing. You can almost see through bi-directionally between cause and effect driving human motives and physical motion.

My references are purely electric and electronic circuit analysis books, neural science and other medical books, and electronic sensors. I managed to correlate the cause and effect between voltages, currents, and power in active and passive elements to human behaviour. I have been thinking about this model for sometime now and am still in process of expanding and advancing my study. You may leave your email in reply, just in case.

Active Tag battery life extension – Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) systems
1. If 3T active tag is not moving + active tag near AM antennas then rechargeable batteries start re-charge. If active tag is away from AM antenna and is not moving then it stays asleep, and wakes up once motion detected. If tag is not being used and placed on shelves then nearby dedicated recharge antennas start re-charging Active tag. An LED changes color indicating battery is fully re-charged.
2. Active tag 2T or 3T can be refurbished at manufacturing facility or repair centres by placing tag on special machine and causing plastic to open at certain pattern just to swap battery with fresh battery unit, then sealed back via ultrasonic welder.
3. Change alarm sound pattern to preserve battery energy, make with lowest duty cycle possible yet audible. This may be accomplished either by the use of mini auto-transformer, charge pump chip, or by using piezo with built in charge pump for cost reduction and power preservation.
4. Handheld unit may be devised to remotely sense and estimate battery health condition of tag in order to determine if it is time to bring tag nearby remote-charging unit, via dedicated antenna. The same built in coil can be used as antenna for battery health sensing.
5. Algorithm can be devised to recognise un-deliberate movement from deliberate movement in order to temporarily shut down the Active tag once un-deliberate movement is detected to save power. This helps dramatically for this purpose. The tag will switch mode automatically to deliberate once pattern is suddenly changed.

Methods for item 5 above can be established by same wake up timing algo or via ultra low power external RC timer or WDT peripheral. This timing mechanism will not only perform tag duties but will also check for (deliberate / un-deliberate movement) pattern change.

Civilized Driving – an LCD display, anti glare, that mounts on the rare side of the car, or other vehicles, with simple interface and large fonts are used to establish visual civilised communication between drivers on the road. For example sending messages such as “Thank You”, “Go First”, “Car Faulty”, “Please Help”, “No Gas”, “Problem Ahead”, “Caution”, “Welcome”, “Door Open”, “Trunk Open”, “Gas Cap Open”, and so on… Those same Displays can also be used for signaling the other auto conditions. I think this is a wonderful idea…

I like this idea, very creative – may be can also add other medical diagnostics via mobile sensor applications. Did you know that there are medical conditions that can be treated by Infra Red, wave sounds, and radio energy? These signal can be made to treat certain conditions while the mobile phone is connected to the data base of nearest hospital or medical clinic and informing them of the patient condition in extreme cases. Also Mobile can connect to sensors such as Pace Maker and Deep Brain Simulator (DBS) and broadcast emergency signal to nearest Paramedic Car dispatch center in case of emergency, so the patient doesn’t have to call for help if he/she faint or fall down. There are also other similar cases the mobile phone can be used for such as other medical conditions and personal security applications.

Mosquito killing device: A device which can be used to kill all the mosquitoes in our home. High frequency sound will be used to kill them which will not even affect even the human beings because more than 20000 db of sound will not be hear able by human. Battery or solar chip can be used to charge up the device.

How about designing an application that runs on the mobile phone and have the mobile generate sound waves hat repel Mosquitos in certain zone area? This can be made for deterring other animals as well since software and piezo transducers can be made available within the mobile phone device.

Smart Scaling – The idea is as follow: You recite few words of a commonly known phrase, text, song, religious verse or quote, or even a melody note or words and the computer or search engine retrieves the rest of the text, verse, song, or whatever. Regarding the sound or melody or notes, the computer or search engine will automatically normalize/scale the note and produces the original one.

This can be made to even work by whistling, manually producing a rhythm by clapping and so on, or even approximating the microphone to listen to sounds such as water drips, door opening, spoons hitting dishes, and so on…

I’ve an idea for a front radar/sensor for vehicles, in Middle East the roads and streets are FULL of bumps and bloody holes and unfortunately rarely signs would alert you !
We need a 50-100 meters radar/sensor that would alert the driver of such road obstacles which really is a true problem, that cause damages to all types of cars, and is the introduction for terrible accidents especially in country like Egypt!
If such a thing exist let me know where I can get it, if it can be invented give me the exclusivity to distribute in ME, we do need it! 🙂

Nice Idea. I would build upon this idea and suggest the use of ultrasound to detect road abnormality, Infra-Red to detect reflection pattern coming from ditches, or the use of low cost multiple transmitters with repeaters for cautioning speeding cars. Another alternative is to use a combination / mixture material along with the tarmac to self-heal the road holes. The material can expand or shrink from the rain when exposed to certain degree! Another alternative is to design car tires relatively large enough to by-pass the road bumps/holes with high speed reaction-response to expand, shrink, or inflate or deflate instantly and adapt to road abnormalities. If this device is technically possible with a range of 50/100 meters, start working on it!
Again the problem is like many other issues in the Middle East, I’m in Saudi right now, high ways are excellent and may be in better conditions like countries I visited like Netherlands, but city roads and streets are in a big mess !
Such a device is a dream to many car owners, the option to have a parking sensor or a rear view camera is fine and nice to have, but front sensor for road bumps and holes is A MUST for every vehicle.

A quick solution is to embed a little sensor transmitter in the hole or bump, the problem with that is it requires human intervention to place it and it may be costly, labour wise. These ultra-low power, short range, low cost transmitters can be adjusted in range, so they can transmit signals from 1 meter up to few hundred meters, as it will also depend on the sensitivity of the receiver in the car, and other parameters.
As for self-healing tarmac, I am not material scientist. We need to invite material scientist brains to enlighten us in this regard. Although, it may requires a combination of electronic sensors and Self-Healing tarmac. As electrical/ electronic designer I am very well fit for assisting in such electronic sensor design.
Please invite your friends to document all ideas in this Idea Depo box, don’t belittle even the simplest idea as it may be the best idea to solve this problem.
The mini sensor transmitters I talked about above are already available and may need slight modification to interface with the road irregularities.
I will bring this idea to the attention of tire manufacturers to find out if they can do something from their side per my previous idea.

Thanks for your comments but I am ready to give up on this project…been working on it since 2001 and received the patent in 2006. Since then I have met people all around the world and had many article written about the patented process from the RFID Journal and many other journals but never had no one to partner with to move this forward. How about if the car has a mechanism to spray hot fluid or water few meters to the front of the car once the break is applied in winter slippery day? It may help, and probably not 100%. The air bag helps prevent injury during car accident but doesn’t guarantee survival.
